My original Christmas song, performed at The Hope Company Christmas Eve service. I wrote this song during Christmas 2022 as a reminder to my family as to the reason we celebrate the season. In 2023 I was able to record the song and a share it with others.

I wrote this song with the help of God during a time of great transition and hardship. It was a time that I could only look to Him. I chose this song because it is a song of surrender. I want to be surrendered in this audition to God. I am His and He is mine.

I wrote this song while going through a season of feeling unworthy of God's love and forgiveness. Through writing this song He reminded me that His love is unconditional, never ending and it is through Jesus Christ alone that we are forgiven. It was truly an awakening.

I chose The Struggle by Zach Williams because it closely depicts my life before and after Christ. I heard this song shortly after I left my old life behind and it gave me chills.

I absolutely love this song! I grew up singing about God having the whole world in His hands, and when I heard this song, it brought me so much joy. As someone with anxiety, I constantly need to be reminded that everything truly will be alright. Why? Because God has it all in His hands.

“I tell you,” ... “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” Luke 19:40 this verse led me to think as I drove by a blue jay: does it really know of its maker? What if the bird was my younger/most insecure self? What would I say? What questions would I ask? We need reminders of our innate value.

This song reminds me of the goodness of God and brings my heart back to His truth when I may have forgotten. The Lord has brought me through so many dark times in my life and I want to live my life in remembrance. The words "remind me I'm not finished yet." He's never done with us!
