I chose this song because it is a true expression of my journey in life. Many times I have felt as though I were walking through a Wilderness, much like the children of Israel, and with no defined direction or ending to the wondering. My prayer has been for God to take my hand and guide me.

Don't we all need a reminder of this every day?

In 2020 my son Josiah was born septic with Strep B because the doctors forgot to give my wife the antibiotic. He lived 139 days at a downtown hospital in Houston, Texas. 2 weeks before he passed away, I wrote this song. In the good times and the bad, I choose to trust that God is good and has a plan.

“Holy, surrounded by Holy, there’s no one more Holy, I’m in wonder and awe” that line alone in this song captures the wonder of being in the presence of God. We serve just a loving Father and when we delight in Him there’s nothing better! I hope you enjoy this song and it blesses you!

We wrote this song after reading Ecclesiates, where Solomon talks about everything being meaningless. The truth is, life is meaningless apart from knowing Jesus and serving Him. At the end of our lives, when we look back, we know it will all be for nothing, if it's not all for Him.

This song was written for my Grandpa's passing, to remind myself that no matter the wounds here on earth, the only scars that matter are the ones that are in heaven. Jesus gave everything in my place, and I am blessed to call Him my Lord.
