Original - While this will hopefully be a powerful song for others as they suffer trials in life, it is a lament to God about the heavy trials I have faced in the past few months. I still trust God through pain and heartache and know He will help me through anything. I surrender everything to Him.

I wrote this song when I was a sophomore in high school. I think we all can relate that many times we have felt alone and unworthy, but God is always there to lift us up in our darkest times. His grace is amazing and He is so merciful and faithful. Your Grace Amazes Me!

Matthew 5:16 says, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." I wrote this song as a reminder that we are all called to Be The Light to others. We are created to show others the same love that Christ shows us.

Jesus is the light of the world and He lives in me. I want my life to be a reflection of that light. Worship in one of it's forms is how we live our lives! My prayer is that the church will begin to shine brighter in these dark days!

This song broke me to the core, the first time I heard it. And this is no flawless performance. There are imperfections. But what a beautiful reminder that God is not seeking perfection. I have made many mistakes in my life and I still struggle. But this is my story, and God... He still loves me.
