I chose this song because just like it says, He is the “Same God” yesterday, today, and forever. His Grace is sufficient and His Mercy is endless, the lyrics of this song beautifully reflects who He has been in my life, and I’m so grateful that I am loved by Him!

Sometimes The Lord asks you to speak to your mountains; other times He says, “come up the mountain.” Going up the mountain is not easy. And you will likely struggle. But, if He calls you to the Mountain, He’ll give you strength to climb it. And you’ll never regret being obedient to His call.

I chose this song because it's about the best day of anyone's life! The day we decide to bend our knee and submit to the Lord God Almighty! I also chose it for the truth that it speaks. I am who I am, because the I Am tells me who I am. In times of confusion we must look to the truth!

I am kicking things off with a fun, upbeat song from leading worship at a youth camp. This first stage of the contest feels like a first date-- we are just meeting each other, so let's not get *too* serious yet. On a personal note, The River reminds me of being baptized by my grandpa when I was 8.
