This song broke me to the core, the first time I heard it. And this is no flawless performance. There are imperfections. But what a beautiful reminder that God is not seeking perfection. I have made many mistakes in my life and I still struggle. But this is my story, and God... He still loves me.

That old Heavenly Highway Hymn book is where all my roots started growing. Those songs created a foundation and a love in me for gospel music. Something I will always cherish. Because He Lives is such a powerful statement on it's own. Just because He lives.

The most important reason for me sharing this video though, is the importance of the message in this song. It's more than just a traditional Christmas hymn... more than just a night a child was born. It is THE night our Savior was born. Because of this night and because of this child, we have hope.
