  • "Awesome" by Peter Arciniega, Jr.

I chose "Awesome" because it was the one song I felt could describe the Lord's power, brilliance, and majesty. It was a song I wrote while visiting the Grand Canyon. As my family and I looked across the Canyon we were hit with so much beauty and bewilderment at the same time thinking, wow and they say there is no designer or creator. Creation seemed to be worshipping the LORD and so I tried to paint that picture in this song. We also went to California and took a drive on PCH and the Pacific Ocean seemed to be doing the same, so the Lord was telling me, as He did in Job. All those people, where were they when I spoke this into existence. My wife loves the song because she says it's well written with words that you don't often hear in Christian music. As well, "Awesome" allows me to demonstrate that the Lord is Lord of all things including my vocals.

  • "Holy is Calvary" by Heidi Jensen North

This is a love story about the Passion of the Cross. It is the reason I have a song to sing. Jesus is the hope of my future, the joy of my salvation, and the promise of my Father, which gives me strength in every trial and peace through every storm. Holy is Calvary!

  • "No Other King" by Tiffany Arbogast

No Other King would do for you or for me what Jesus did by sacrificing His life so that we might live!

  • "A Way Forward" by Joshua and Izabella Rodriguez

I wrote “A Way Forward” because I have been through some incredibly dark times (losses, depression, and some things I’m not comfortable discussing with a stranger). Even though that was the case, I found my way forward through Christ first and music second. Along the same vein, the point of view the song is told from goes along that same path. Starting first in a dark place with seemingly nowhere to turn, then (as a last resort) calling out to God to provide peace. The second verse signifies the doubt felt by many Christians in their lives, but by the end of the second chorus, that doubt is replaced by hope. The bridge and final chorus are all about fully dedicating your heart and soul to Jesus. During this, I reference the “footsteps in the sand” poem where it’s described that Jesus carries us through the hard times even though, most of the time, we don’t realize it. In this dedication, you find your way forward, your path through the hard times, and the peace that only a relationship with God can provide.

  • "You Reign" by Matthew K Jenkins

This song was birthed in a quiet moment alone with God. I wasn’t trying to write—just worshiping—and it flowed from a deep place. It’s ministered to me over and over, and I’ve seen it bless others too. I pray it draws every listener closer to Him.
