I've lost my way for several years in my life... but my kids, family, and myhomechurch in Red Deer brought me back to the right path and this was the song that the worship team has given me the opportunity to lead. After years of not performing on stage in and out of church, this was my piece.

I choose this song because there is nothing more comforting, yet powerful, than the name of Jesus. Just by saying His name makes heaven move! It’s a joy to sing about the name of a Jesus.

Although I am young, I have gone through patches where trusting God is difficult, when it feels like he’s not listening. The lyrics remind me to trust God's plan and have faith that He will never fail you. Although I am young, God has always gotten me out of darkness, and He will do it again.

I wrote this song, not long after coming back to Christ. I had actively avoided Him, ran from Him. I chose this song because it describes the battle in my heart at the time. On one hand there was the old me, and on the other, Jesus. I believe this song will help the prodigals like me.
