This song helped me understand that it's because of God we have breath in our lungs to live out everyday, and we should always give Him glory. For without Him we are nothing and would have no purpose.

I covered this song the year my brother was diagnosed with kidney disease at the age of 31. My entire life made a shift. This song not only touched my heart, but it (and many others) helped me to trust God in every season. I've learned that life comes at us unexpectedly, but God is steadfast.

I have been through alot of past trauma, abuse, addictions, ect. I hid behind my fears for many years. Now over a year sober, rededicating my life back to the Lord, I am no longer a slave to my past! This is my now, speaks to me, as Now I am rising above my fears and living the life God called me!

I Chose this song, because it was my first solo as a kid to sing to my grandmother who is no longer on this earth! Also it connects as a full circle moment because I got to sing it at an event and program “Songbook Academy”! It’s just another way to connect to God and the Lord and spread His word.
