I wrote this song in the midst of consecrated prayer, filled with so much gratitude for God's love and all He's done for me, when it dawned on me that He hurt WITH me through everything. As I wept thinking about this, God poured provision over me and gave me a new song. I pray this blesses you.

All throughout my life I've been on long and winding roads, often not knowing where to go. Since I accepted Jesus as my savior, I now have Him to lead me and guide me. God has been moving and opening doors. I don't know where I'm going, or what I'm doing, but He has good plans.

God desires to take care of us and keep us safe in Him. Our transformation through His instructions prepares us to begin living in the eternity. This Psalm has an extremely special place in my heart as it resonates who we are as the Good Shepherd's beloved sheep.

Over the years, we have heard many little nuggets of wisdom that we've felt could make good songs. Recently, we heard a Gospel reading at a wedding about unconditional love. The priest said Jesus loves us "even if, even what, no matter what." As soon as we heard that, we knew we had to write this.

This song was birthed in a quiet moment alone with God. I wasn’t trying to write—just worshiping—and it flowed from a deep place. It’s ministered to me over and over, and I’ve seen it bless others too. I pray it draws every listener closer to Him.

I hope this song reminds everyone that we are loved by God no matter what and we are children of the King!

Hills and Valleys was the first Worship song that spoke to my heart! We can take comfort in knowing that our God is the same God in the highs and lows of life. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Keep the Faith, trust the process, because His plan is Perfect!

This song was written by my self and my dad, LaMar Cooper, after I had just came through a very hard time with depression that lead to attempted suicide. The song describes the joy that the redemption God can bring if we just let Him.
