We request a minimum donation of five dollars to vote for a Contestant as a means to support our nonprofit mission and ensure the sustainability of our organization. By contributing a small amount, voters actively participate in empowering talented individuals and supporting charitable causes. The breakdown of the funds reflects our commitment to fairness and transparency, with 20% awarded to the Contestant to recognize their efforts, 20% directed to their chosen beneficiary to extend the impact of their success, and 60% allocated to a nonprofits selected by our Board of Directors to benefit communities in need. This distribution model allows us to uphold our values of generosity, equity, and community service while fostering a culture of philanthropy and artistic excellence. *Contestants must have a minimum of $50 worth of votes in order for you and your beneficiary to receive 20% each.*
All proceeds from the You, God's Music Showcase will be meticulously tallied and transparently posted at the Showcase's conclusion. Contestants will be rewarded with prize money based on the number of votes they accrue in each round. For instance, a Contestant who garners 5,000 votes in the first round will receive $1,000, with an equivalent amount awarded to their chosen beneficiary Christian organization. In the final round, the Showcase winner will receive 80 cents of every dollar corresponding to the votes they receive, while their beneficiary Christian organization will receive the remaining 20 cents. At the thrilling conclusion of the live Showcase event, the winner will be revealed and presented with their cash prize alongside a coveted Recording Artist Package!
1st Round
Submission cut-off date: Friday, April 18, 2025 at 3:00 pm, Central Time. Once the Contestant’s first song is pre-approved to participate in the Showcase, it will go live. Voting will take place from Friday, April 18, 2025 at 9pm Central Time – Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 9pm Central Time. In the First Round, the Contestant’s score will depend solely on popular vote. Only the Top Half of the contestants will move on to the 2nd Round.
2nd Round
Video Submission Dates: Monday, May 5, 2025 at 9am Central Time – Friday, May 16, 2025 at 3pm Central Time. Videos go live and voting takes place: Friday, May 16, 2025 at 9pm Central Time – Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 9pm Central Time. In the Second Round, the Contestant’s score will depend solely on popular vote. Only the Top 25 Contestants will move on to the Semifinals.
SEMIFINALS
Video Submission Dates: Monday June 2, 2025 at 9am Central Time – Friday, June 13, 2025 at 3pm Central Time. Videos go live and voting takes place: Friday, June 13, 2025 at 9pm Central Time – Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 9pm Central Time.
During the Semifinal Round, contestants will submit a brief testimony on how their faith in Jesus Christ, has impacted or influenced their life. This testimony should be a story behind the contestant's song to add a personal touch to the contestant's performances allowing them to connect with the audience.
The General Public will have the opportunity to cast their votes and support Contestants. However, in the Semifinals, 50% of the final score will be calculated from the Judges’ votes, and 50% of the score will be calculated from the number of votes that Contestants receive from the General Public. Only 5 Contestants will move on to the Finals. If a Contestant elects to upload an original song, the Contestant will receive up to 15 bonus points from the Judges’ score. In the Semifinals and Finals, if a Contestant gets a zero score from the judges, that Contestant will not be able to move to the next round or win, no matter how many votes, they receive from the General Public. Only the Top 5 Contestants will move on to the Finals.
FINALS
If a Contestant elects to sing an original song, the Contestant will receive up to 15 bonus points from the Judges’ score.
FIRST - the winner will receive: an $9,500 authentic and high-quality original single, mixed and mastered.
- The You, God's Music Showcase Winner will receive an authentic and high-quality original single, mixed and mastered. With a video package with a song story interview and acoustic performance. Plus, one professional photo session with a digital media package.
- This would include 1 day for the Winner to record vocals and 1 day for filming the video in Nashville! We will provide airfare, hotel and lunch to Nashville and include recording/mixing the Winner's acoustic performance.
- We have locked in a location at Michael Tait’s home studio for the vocal recording day and video recording day, so it should be a fun experience! (There’s no guarantee Michael will be home, but he’s known to come down and say hello from time to time.)
SECOND - a consultation with an Attorney at the Langley & Banack, for Copyright Registration Application, for a song and to review a live performance contract.
THIRD - Hair & Beauty makeover by an amazing beauty professional.
FOURTH - $500 Southwest Airline gift travel card.
FIFTH - the Showcase Winner will take home 80% of the their total donation votes and 20% will be gifted to the winner's church or religious organization.
SIXTH - airfare, hotel and meals for the Showcase in San Antonio, Texas.
