Right Hand Shade

  • Right Hand Shade is a pop/rock band infused with soulful vocals, catchy guitar riffs and a modern surf-rock flair. Hailing from the shores of New England, RHS has risen as one of the most in-demand and original acts in the Northeast, with multiple invites back all across the region. Drawing upon the eclectic musical roots and influences of its four members, RHS has honed a sound all its own: A unique fusion of infectious guitar hooks and complex rhythmic arrangements (Lincoln Brewster, Switchfoot), soaring powerhouse gospel vocals (Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey), authentic lyrical depth (Crowder, For King & Country), with a dose of surf rock vibes and slide guitar for good measure (The Beach Boys, The Surfaris). With songwriting focused on such themes as hope, truth, justice and eternity, RHS delivers a high-energy performance that audiences do not soon forget. Whether lighting up the stage with a high-octane rock tune, inspiring the crowd to clap and stomp along, sharing relatable and authentic life stories, or arresting the listener with lush vocal harmonies in a heartfelt ballad, RHS’s mission of hope and strength in a dark age is clear. RHS began touring in 2016 and has opened for and shared the stage with some of the most successful national acts in music today (Tobymac, For King & Country, Switchfoot, Crowder, Michael W. Smith, Kari Jobe, Big Daddy Weave, Zach Williams, Phil Joel/Zealand) before large crowds at high-profile festivals, beach amphitheaters and youth retreat weekends. The group recorded their highly-anticipated first professional studio album in 2018 with Darren Elder and Kevin Billingslea. The single from the album, “It’s Time”, as well as their follow-up single “Called by Name” have received airplay on radio stations nationally. For their second full-length album, RHS has enlisted Old Bear Records producer & co-writer Chris Hoisington (The Brothers McClurg). For more on Right Hand Shade, visit them at www.righthandshade.com.
