I chose the song Desperate by Jamie MacDonald because it reflects moments in my life when I feel a deep longing to be closer to God. There are times when life feels overwhelming, uncertain or even discouraged. This song is simply an honesty I can’t describe.

My audition is myself covering/singing and playing “Trust In God” by Elevation Worship.

I felt directed by God to write and use this song to inspire his people to step into his calling on their lives even if not through spiritual gifts but in every day life as we're all called for a higher purpose, to grow the kingdom of Heaven and through this, we bring him praise.

I chose this song because it reminds me that God’s presence is my true rest. In every season, busy or broken, His Spirit brings me peace, renewal, and comfort. This reflects my heart’s desire to rest in Him. This is my prayer: That His Spirit moves, fills my heart, and transforms my life.

Through every trial, and in every circumstance this song is a reminder that nothing is greater than the God we serve. Jesus holds the victory still to this day! I hope this song encourages you as much as it has encouraged me.

Originally the video was just gonna be the song itself, but I went ahead and explained that it was gonna be my audition video, so I could get opinions on if I should do it or not, but my heart spoke to me and told me that this was the song so this is what I chose to sing.

This song, “Never Left my Side,” is a song I wrote after going through my divorce and custody battle. God brought me out of the darkness and I never would have made it, had it not been for Him. Not once did He leave me. He stuck by my side and I’m here today ready to share that story!
