“My Jesus” by Kory Krusenstjerna

I chose this song, not only because I love the words and the music, but I love the message it has. Part of Anne Wilson’s reason for writing this song was the loss of her brother. Through that trial she realized that instead of writing “God” or “Jesus” in her journal; she wrote, “MY God” and “MY Jesus”. I also lost someone close to me as a teenager. My mom passed away of cancer and I just remember how close I felt to God at that time. My Jesus was there for me and I feel like this song gave me a way to tell others about it.
