This original song is based on Psalm 139. I came across this chapter during one of my quarantine devotions and it just reminded me of how I would often listen to the negative thoughts in my head rather than preach God’s truth to myself. He knows our deepest darkest secrets, our shortcomings, and our insecurities, still, He loves us and pursues us. I wrote this song that you and I could be reminded of how we are fearfully and wonderfully made!

[Verse 1]
You know when I wake up
My thoughts before I speak up
What’s hidden in my heart
I dare not impart

Where can I run to
When I try to bid you adieu
You’re all around me
From the mountain to the sea

[Chorus]
Oh you searched me and known me
You formed me wonderfully
My soul knows it
You sought me and loved me
My life planned out intricately
My soul knows it

[Verse 2]
You see all of my ways
Every step that I take
What troubles my mind
And keeps me up at night

Where shall I flee to
In darkness I find you
Your hand leads me
Out the depths of deceit

[Bridge]
How precious are your thoughts
How wonderful your ways
I recount all of your deeds
And forget all my anxieties
