This song means so much to me because my Yorkie just passed away and she was 17 years old. It has encouraged me to really seek after God even more because this is not our home.

I wrote this song inspired by 1 Peter 5:7 "Cast your anxieties on Him because He cares for you." It tells my story of growing up and finding faith, but really it's everyone's story. We come into this world innocent, then the world hits us... we need to remember how much we are loved by God.

I relate to this song so much. I go through times where I feel like I don't quite measure up, but then I hear these words and I realize I do matter to God. When I sing them, the feeling is even stronger.

The story behind this song was about how my friends left me friendless for 6 years. I was alone everyday and bullied, and thinking there was no one there who understood me, and gets me, but there is. God knows me, He's given me a talent I should use to spread the word of the Gospel!
