I worked tirelessly trying to create the music I heard for "Power of Prayer", my recent submission. Finally on the last day I decided to just trust in God and deliver it the way it was given to me. I setup my cellphone and hit record. No apps, no music, no autotune, and zero regrets. Just completely trusting what God gave me could transcend through for others to feel and hear. There is a true power that comes with prayer when we learn to let go and let God take over. My prayer is that this song blesses at least one person. No matter how far I make it in this competition, I truly pray that the songs God has given me are able to one day be heard. "Power of Prayer" by SeaCricket

I wrote this song in January of 2022. At the time many people I loved were sick and hope seemed like something that was in short supply. I chose this song because I needed to remind myself and others that there is still power in prayer. Jesus is still saving, healing and answering those prayers!

]]> 0 a3dee9565c9284bb88b34bc02844f6a3 Realistically, I've been singing for as long as I can remember. God gave me my first song when I was 18 years old. I didn't get more serious about writing until 2013 when I wrote my first song with my Dad. We wrote two beautiful songs together before he was tragically taken from us in 2015. Losing him had such a profound impact that I stepped away from music again until 2020 when God started giving me songs so fast, sometimes it was hard to keep up. Words would flow of the paper faster than I could process what they were. In 2023 I began crowd funding to help get my music out there. Finally in March of 2024 I released my first single and was beyond blessed to have a friend help put together the music video for, "Salvation from Sin". Game, fortune or accolades mean nothing to me. I just want to take the talents God gave me and share them with the world. I want to stand before him in hopes of hearing "well done my good and faithful servant." I selected this song because I feel like many people can relate to the lyrics. Sometimes the burdens we carry can feel so heavy it's hard to go on. When we lean on Jesus he carries that weight and we are able to find salvation from Sin.
