My name is Ava Newby, and my song "He Knows" is so much more than just a song, its a personal testimony that I wrote during a really hard time in my life. On September 28, 2020, I broke both bones in my left forearm, it ended up healing wrong and I had a bad curve to my arm, so bad that I couldnt rotate my arm over or do basic life functions without some assistance. It hurt me 24/7, so bad to where I couldn't even do the thing I love most, playing my guitar without being in severe pain and tears. After four years of this non-stop pain, on August 6, 2024, I got the surgery I needed to straighten my arm. It was a very long and painful recovery. After four months of hard work in occupational therapy, I got to see the palm of my hand for the first time in four years. I was able to pick up my guitar and play, such a blessing! I am so thankful to God for being with me, protecting me, helping me during this trying period of my life. This song reminds that even when I'm in pain or when I feel alone that he knows everything, and to trust in him even when life gets hard. I'm so greatful for all your prayers and support over the last 4 years, and I'm thankful for the Lord giving me the strength and helping me through the hard times.
